FAQ

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent technique for creating natural-looking, fuller eyebrows. It involves the use of a specialized handheld tool with 18 tiny microneedles that delicately deposit pigment into the skin, mimicking the appearance of natural hair. Ideal for those who don’t typically use eyebrow makeup, this method enhances the natural brow shape, adds definition, and is particularly effective for those who have lost some or all eyebrow hair. Microblading works best on drier or younger skin, and results typically last between 3-5 years with a touch-up.

What are Ombré Powder Brows?

Ombré Powder Brows, also known as "microshading," is a tattooing technique that creates a soft, powdered effect, giving the brows a beautiful, defined look. This method involves a delicate machine application using a tiny needle to deposit pigment, with the front of the brow often appearing lighter and gradually becoming darker towards the tail for a natural ombré effect. Ombré Powder Brows are great for people who wear makeup regularly and prefer a brow pencil replacement. It suits all skin types and lasts around 3-5 years with a touch-up.

How Can Microblading or Ombré Powder Brows Benefit Me?

There are several advantages to permanent eyebrow makeup, including:

  • Enhanced confidence with beautifully shaped brows
  • Concealment of sparse areas for a fuller, more even look
  • Saves time on daily brow makeup application
  • Sweat- and waterproof—perfect for swimming and workouts!

Who is a Good Candidate for Permanent Eyebrow Makeup?

Permanent brow makeup is perfect for anyone wanting to wake up with full, beautiful brows every day. It’s ideal for busy professionals, parents, or anyone with limited time to apply makeup, as well as for active individuals who want to avoid the worry of makeup smudging during exercise or swimming. It’s also great for those who struggle to achieve the perfect shape or have experienced hair loss due to conditions like alopecia, cancer treatments, scarring, or trichotillomania.

How Long Do the Results Last?

Typically, microblading or ombré powder brows last between 3-5 years. However, the longevity of the results can vary depending on factors such as your skin type, lifestyle, medical history, and how well you care for your brows. For the best results, a touch-up session is recommended within 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment. Follow-up touch-ups are suggested as needed to maintain your brows.

Is the Procedure Painful?

The procedure involves minimal discomfort—many clients compare it to the sensation of plucking their eyebrows. To ensure a comfortable experience, we apply numbing ointments and gels that significantly reduce any discomfort during the process.

How Long Does the Appointment Take?

The initial appointment usually lasts about 3 hours. It includes a consultation, brow mapping, design, color matching, numbing, and the actual microblading or machine shading process.

How Should I Prepare for My Appointment?

For the best results, please follow these preparation guidelines:

  • Discontinue natural blood thinners (vitamin E, fish oil) a week before your appointment.
  • Refrain from intense exercise 24 hours before and 2 weeks after your appointment, as sweating can affect retention.

  • Review all forms provided at your appointment and ask any questions you may have.
  • Notify us about any allergies, medical conditions, or prior permanent makeup experiences.
